Treehouse at Easthampton MeadowThis
46-acre development provides a unique intergenerational environment for
both seniors and families with children. Of the 60 rental units, 48 are
reserved for seniors (55+) with incomes at or below 60 percent of the
area median income.
An additional 12 rental town homes with 3, 4 and 5 bedrooms are set
aside for families, with priority going to applicants whose children
have been impacted by the foster care system. Casework and other
services are available on site; the planned community also offers
community dinners, volunteer training and neighborhood gatherings. The
development was financed with state and federal
low-income housing tax credit equity and other state funds, including a $1 million award from the Massachusetts Affordable
Housing Trust Fund.
