Treehouse at Easthampton Meadow

This 46-acre development provides a unique intergenerational environment for both seniors and families with children. Of the 60 rental units, 48 are reserved for seniors (55+) with incomes at or below 60 percent of the area median income. An additional 12 rental town homes with 3, 4 and 5 bedrooms are set aside for families, with priority going to applicants whose children have been impacted by the foster care system. Casework and other services are available on site; the planned community also offers community dinners, volunteer training and neighborhood gatherings. The development was financed with state and federal low-income housing tax credit equity and other state funds, including a $1 million award from the Massachusetts Affordable Housing Trust Fund.
